The immune support IV is supportive care that replenishes fluids, vitamins and trace minerals when you are feeling run-down. An internal medicine specialist decides on the formulation after your consultation. It does not treat or prevent colds or flu.

What to Expect and Its Limits
We discuss whether fluid and nutrient support may help you feel a little more comfortable while your body recovers. Some people feel lighter within a few hours or by the next day, but the IV is supportive care and not a treatment for colds or flu.
Results can differ from person to person, and the specialist decides whether it is suitable for you after your consultation. If tests, medication or rest are more important, we guide you in that direction first.
Precautions and Safety
IV therapy is not right for everyone. Please let us know in advance if any of the following apply.
During the IV you may briefly feel chills, notice a metallic taste, or get a small bruise at the injection site. If dizziness persists or you feel short of breath or have chest pain, tell us right away.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have kidney, heart or liver disease
- You have G6PD deficiency (a red blood cell enzyme deficiency) or take anticoagulants or diuretics
- You recently had major surgery or have an infection that needs hospital care
How a Visit Works
- Check-in: symptoms, current medications and allergies
- Exam: vital signs and symptoms, with tests if needed
- Prescription: confirming suitability and deciding on the formulation
- IV session: given in a private room with monitoring
- Before you leave: advice on fluids and rest, with a prescription if needed
The VEI Clinic Approach
An internal medicine specialist sees you in person before prescribing, and all IVs are given in private rooms. Sharing your symptoms, allergies and current medications when you book makes the visit smoother. If you have recent test results, please bring them.
