VEI Check · Health Checkup

Choosing tests for your age and symptoms:
a personalized health checkup

At VEI Clinic, an internal medicine specialist reviews your age, family history, daily habits and current symptoms, then chooses the tests you need for a personalized checkup. You do not need to complete a fixed package. Options include blood and urine tests, ultrasound, body composition testing, stress testing and functional medicine tests. We do not offer the national health screening program or endoscopy.

VEI Clinic, Gangnam — VEI Check · Health Checkup

What the Checkup Can Include

We choose only the tests you need from the options below. You do not need every test.

  • History: a lifestyle questionnaire, family history, current medications and symptoms
  • Blood tests: anemia, liver and kidney function, blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin, cholesterol, thyroid function, inflammation markers and hepatitis antibodies
  • Urine tests
  • Ultrasound: the abdomen, thyroid, carotid arteries or heart, as needed
  • Body composition testing: muscle mass, body fat and fluid retention
  • Stress testing: autonomic nervous system balance
  • Functional medicine tests, such as nutritional status, hormone or gut microbiome testing, if needed

Who It May Suit

  • People who want additional tests beyond the national health screening program
  • People with ongoing fatigue, weight changes or digestive discomfort without a clear cause
  • People with a family history of high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol who want an early check
  • People preparing for marriage or pregnancy who want to check their basic health and antibodies to infections
  • People with busy schedules who want to have the tests they need in one visit

Before Your Test

  • Fast for at least 8 hours if you are having fasting blood tests or an abdominal ultrasound
  • Bring a list of your medications and supplements
  • Bring any previous health checkup results so we can compare them
  • Tell us when booking if you will be menstruating, as this can affect urine test results

Tests Not Available Here

VEI Clinic does not offer the national health screening program, upper endoscopy or colonoscopy. Please use a designated screening center for the national health screening program and a hospital that provides endoscopy for those procedures. Bring the results, and we can review them with you to decide whether you need any additional tests.

The VEI Clinic Approach

An internal medicine specialist explains your results in the context of your daily habits, rather than simply giving you the numbers. We outline how to manage your health and when to recheck. If there are abnormal findings, we guide you to the care you need or a partner hospital.
